Martin Bros. Distributing Breaks Ground on Expansion in Cedar Falls, Iowa

Martin Bros. Distributing Co., Inc., a family-owned foodservice distributor serving Iowa and seven surrounding states, recently broke ground on a major expansion to their Cedar Falls facilities. The project will add 40,000 square feet of warehouse space and create approximately 25 new jobs.

The strategic expansion will maximize the company’s property potential by adding dry storage, refrigerated, and freezer facilities to the existing state-of-the-art framework. This will enhance Martin Bros.’ distribution capabilities to meet the growing demand for their products and services across their eight-state footprint.

Founded in 1940 by brothers Roy and Glenn Martin, Martin Bros. Distributing Co., Inc. is now led by Brooks and Jeff Martin, the third generation of the Martin family. Martin Bros. employs over 650 people, with approximately 500 working out of the Cedar Falls facilities. This will mark the company’s ninth major addition or remodeling project since 1998, including a 77,000-square-foot expansion completed in 2016. Construction on the latest expansion is anticipated to be completed in 2025.
