Martin Bros. Distributing Celebrates Milestone Year

CEDAR FALLS – Martin Bros. Distributing Co., Inc., a full-line, independent, family and employee-owned foodservice distributor, reached the milestone of a $500 million in annual sales today. The company has achieved additional recognition this year in areas of industry leadership, customer partnerships, building expansions and remodels as well as continued year-over-year growth.

Martin Bros. has been serving Iowa and seven surrounding states for over 78 years. The company offers state-of-the-art broadline distributing to restaurants, schools, senior living facilities and other institutions.

“This sales milestone is the result of our outstanding Owner-Employees,” said Brooks Martin, Martin Bros. President and Chief Executive Officer. “The spirit here is contagious. We thank our employees as well as our vendors and customers for their ongoing partnerships as we work together to deliver on the promise of ‘Foodservice with a Difference’.”

Martin Bros. employs over 680 people, nearly 400 of which work out of the company’s Cedar Falls facilities. These facilities are made up of four buildings located in the city’s industrial park and include the warehouse/operations center, a marketing center, solutions center and a food market that is open to the public. All of these buildings have undergone expansions or remodels over the past year. The company also has a public food market in Mason City, Iowa.
